Pure Resentment

I love observing human behavior, and in recent weeks, have had a chance to experience something that I want to share. My hope is that – by reading this, you are able to check yourself and prevent what can only be described as raw stupidity and PURE RESENTMENT.

I am a person who is very proud of my knowledge of certain topics. Rather than waiting for people to discover me, sort of like a great restaurant hidden in a back alley – that doesn’t advertise, I put it out there. Naturally, WEAK individuals take this as arrogance.

Don’t get me wrong…I do make mistakes.

I am not perfect.

Having said that, what I do know…I KNOW.

You would THINK that folks who were deficient in knowledge would gravitate toward those who know MORE – seeing the more knowledgable individuals as assets. Unfortunately, such is often not the case.

Confidence and strength are the “enemies”
of the weak and unintelligent.

WHY?

For starters, when we see someone who is stronger and more intelligent in an area where we would like to THINK we are equal, we are forced to look at our own inherent weakness (or weaknesses). No one likes to be forced to look at their own weaknesses – especially when they believe themselves to be a complete package.

The end result are often derogatory comments emanating from the weaker individual (in the form of resentment) that put an individual’s vulnerabilities on display. The person who sees themselves as being so genuine and true – shows their “unpleasant” side when their weakness is highlighted like a cockroach “revealed” by a flashlight.

The POINT: When someone comes into your world with strengths that that MAY reveal your weakness (or weaknesses), do not resent their ownership of their strengths. Instead, embrace their strength like a missing piece of your puzzle.

Have a GREAT Day!
